THE IRISH CLUB OF ALASKA PRESENTS AN EVENING OF IRISH MUSIC AND DANCE TO BENEFIT THE GERARD McDonnell MEMORIAL AWARD.
This evening of rollicking fun and great "Craic" will benefit the Gerard McDonnell
Memorial Award established by the Irish Club of Alaska in memory of Gerard McDonnell, a well loved member of the Irish music community here who lost his life while coming to the aid of other injured climbers on K2 in August 2008.
Ger avidly supported the music community here in Anchorage and encouraged many young people to join in the music, song and dance of his native country.
This year's award/s will be presented during the evening and the funds raised will support next year's recipient.
